How much photo storage do I have?
You have 200Mb (megabytes) of space to upload your photos to. The amount of photos you can store depends on the file size of your photos.
How do I create a new album?
From the navigation menu at the top, click either 'View' or 'Add Photos'. In the 'Create new album' box on the right, type the name you want for the album and click 'Create'. The album will appear (labelled 'Empty Album') within your album listing.
Can I have more than one photo album?
Yes. There is no limit to the amount of photo albums you can have. However, the total amount of photos stored cannot exceed the 200Mb limit.
Can I rename or delete the 'Default' Album?
Unfortunately the 'Default' album cannot be renamed or deleted. If you wish to delete the contents of the album, select all the photos and use the delete function. If you wish to rename the default album, we suggest that you create a new album and move the photos into it. This can be done whilst viewing the contents of the default album, selecting all the photos and using the move function.
Can I use the site with browsers such as Netscape, Mozilla, etc.? Or a Mac?
The only supported browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x and up for a PC. If you use another browser or Internet Explorer on a Mac then you may experience problems. Full browser compatibility should be coming soon.

How do I add photos?
From the navigation menu at the top, click 'Add Photos'. Choose the album you want to add Photos to and click 'Continue'.
In the Easy Upload Tool, browse folders, view photos and select photos to add. For help click 'Upload Help Guide' on the right.
If you haven't used the Easy Upload Tool before, you are prompted to install it. If you don't want to use the Easy Upload Tool, click 'No' when prompted, and click 'Browse & Upload' on the right.
Why do I need the Easy Upload Tool?
The Easy Upload Tool is a much easier way to add photos to your albums. You can easily and quickly browse folders, view photos and select photos to add.
The first time you attempt to use it you will be prompted to install a small program. If it fails to install, help is displayed on how to install successfully.
For help when using the Easy Upload Tool, click 'Upload Help Guide' on the right.
I have chosen the 'Highlight All' option but the photos aren't all checked/ticked. How do I select them all?
When you click 'Highlight All' and select a check box, all check boxes will be selected. Point to 'Select Help' in the Easy Upload Tool for more information.
How do I use Browse & Upload?
For each photo, click 'Browse', and in the dialog box that appears, find the photo you want and click 'Open'. You can also type a file path in the box. Enter a 'Name' for each photo if required. Click 'Upload Photos' on the right. To add more than five Photos, repeat this process.
How many photos can I upload at once?
With the Easy Upload Tool you can upload as many as you like, as long as you do not exceed your storage space limit. Using Browse & Upload, you can upload five photos at a time.
Why is the photo I have just uploaded displayed as 'Invalid or corrupt file type'?
The following photo file formats are supported - BMP, JPG. If you are experiencing problems uploading other file types, convert your photos to one of the supported types on your home PC before uploading. Delete any un-viewable photos to free-up space. (Tip: The JPG format is generally regarded as the best for distributing photos over the Internet, since the file sizes are relatively small).
I have uploaded some photos and the image doesn't display on the screen. Instead it says 'processing'. What should I do?
Refresh the page - press the 'Refresh' browser button or the F5 key.

Select the print sizes and quantities on the right, and then click 'Add to basket'. Prints are added to your order.
4. To order more prints, repeat the previous step. To view your order, click 'View Basket' at the top right.
Where can I choose which part of my photo I want printed?
This can be achieved from either the 'Zoom / Crop' page in the 'Buy Print' section.
1. Go to the 'Buy Photos' section and click on 'Zoom / Crop' from the left hand menu or click on the image you wish to order.
OR from the basket
1. Go to the basket and click on the 'crop' link beside each image.
How do I order prints from the 'Zoom / Crop' page?
1. Select a print size by either entering a quantity or by using the plus and minus buttons.
2. Use crop box tools to select the exact area you'd like printed.
3. Update your basket. The prints will be added to your basket.
4. Repeat above steps for each print size.
What is cropping?
The cropping feature allows you to see how your photo will be trimmed to fit a particular print size. Each print size has an 'aspect ratio', which is the relationship between its height and width (for example, a 6x4 print has an aspect ratio of 1:1.5 which is more rectangular than a 10x8 print). Not all print sizes have the same aspect ratio and as a result, you may have parts of the photo cropped when printing certain sizes.
When previewing a photo, there is a green cropping box over the photo. Any part of the photo that is outside this box will not be printed. You can use the 'Crop box tools' or use the mouse to drag the box to select the area you want to print. If the cropping box turns red, you have zoomed in too far and a photo will not print. Zoom out to correct this.
(Note: when ordering gifts the crop features will be limited. This is because some gifts need photos of a particular shape, for example, T-shirts need a portrait (taller than wide) photo. Therefore we limit the features to ensure we don't print your photo the incorrect way up.
Using the cropping features with gifts
The important thing to remember when ordering a gift is that what you see on screen is what will be printed. If your photo is not the correct way up on this screen then it will not be printed correctly on your gift.
This is because some gifts need photos of a particular shape, for example, T-shirts need a portrait (taller than wide) photo while a placemat needs a landscape (wider than taller) photo to get the best results. For print sizes this is not generally a problem as you can always turn the photo the right way up in your hand. There is of course nothing stopping you from using a landscape photo to place on a T-shirt for example but you will notice that more of the photo will be cropped.
Can I choose which part of the photo I want to get printed?
Yes. When previewing a photo, the area inside the cropping box will be printed. Use the 'Crop box tools' or use the mouse to drag the box to select the area you want to print.
Why am I not able to print some photos at some sizes?
This is because the photos are of low resolution for some sizes. You will see a red 'X' beside the print size to advise you of this. Photos printed at this size will appear pixelated (looking blocky). Try taking photos at a higher resolution on your camera, or choose a smaller print size in order to get the best possible print quality.
What does the Shopping Basket display?
The Shopping Basket displays your order summary along with the total price including any delivery charges.
eVouchers - If you have an eVoucher, please enter it in the box at the bottom of this page, and click "Validate" to amend your order total. Please note that only one eVoucher can be used per order.
How do I pay for my prints?
Payment is made online. Enter your payment card details as part of the checkout process.
What is the security code and where can I find it on my card?
The security code is an additional verification code that helps prevent credit-card fraud. For most cards it is the last 3 digits of the code printed on the reverse side of your card. For Amex Card holders you need to enter the four digits displayed on the front right of the card. In the example illustration, the security code is highlighted with a red border.
What information should I enter if I have a Maestro card?
A start date or issue number are required if you use a Maestro (formally Switch) card for payment. If your card has a start date but no issue number then please enter the start date and leave the issue number blank. If your card has an issue number but no start date then please enter the issue number and leave the start date blank. If your card has both then please enter both.
What does the Order Summary screen display?
The Order Summary screen displays a summary of your order including total cost, your payment and delivery details. To change your order, click 'Modify'. If you are happy with your order, click 'Place Order' to send us your order.
I have placed an order but I see 'Resend order'. What does this mean?
At the moment the Asda Digital Photo Centre does not allow you to send the same order to multiple addresses. If you want to send the same set of photos to more than one person, you may do so by clicking the 'Resend order' button. You are then prompted through the checkout process again, and have the option to change the delivery details. This feature will be updated in future to allow multiple address ordering.
I have selected the wrong print size. How do I change this?
Remove the incorrect item from your shopping basket and re-order the item correctly. To remove the item, click 'View Basket' (top right) to display Your Shopping Basket, select the 'Remove' check box for the unwanted item and then click 'Update Basket'. To remove all items, click 'Empty Basket' on the right.
Why is the 'Add to basket' button disabled?
It may be the case that the image you are viewing cannot be printed at any of the print sizes available and so cannot be added to your order. Alternatively if you have used the zoom and crop tools it may be the case that the selected area cannot be printed at the size selected. Try zooming the crop box out until the box turns green.

Why do I get an image resolution warning when creating a photo book?
The warning message will appear if the photo used is not of a good enough resolution for the image place holder size. Photos printed at this size will appear pixelated (looking blocky) and as a result you will be unable to add the gift to your basket.
Try the following:
1. Alter any cropping applied to the photo so that the crop box turns green
2. Choose an alternative page layout which has smaller place holders
Can I make changes to my photo gift when it's been added to the basket?
When you add your photo gift to the basket we take a snapshot of it at that point so you're unable to go back to edit it. Your photo gift is however saved in the 'My Projects' section so if you wish to make changes do the following:
1) Delete the current photo gift from your basket
2) Go to either 'My home' or the 'My projects' section of the site and click the project you wish to alter
3) Make your changes and then add it to the basket as before
Why am I unable to add my gift to the basket?
It may be the case that some or all of the photos you have added to your gift are of not a high enough resolution to be printed and so the gift cannot be added to your order. The photo(s) in question will be highlighted with a resolution warning. You will need to go back and either use another photo or if you have used the zoom and crop tools it may be the case that the selected area cannot be printed at the size selected. Try zooming the crop box out until the box turns green.
Why am I unable to add this photo to my gift?
The warning message will appear if the photo used is not of a good enough resolution for the image place holder size. Photos printed at this size will appear pixelated (looking blocky) and as a result you will be unable to add the gift to your basket. For photo books either undo the editing you have performed or choose a smaller photo placeholder. For calendars either undo the editing you have performed or choose a higher resolution photo.
Why am I unable to add my calendar to the basket?
The most common reason is that you have a photo missing from one of the month pages. Use the 'Next' and 'Previous' page buttons to scroll through your calendar to check each month.
Otherwise it may be the case that some or all of the photos you have added to your gift are of not a high enough resolution to be printed and so the gift cannot be added to your order. The photo(s) in question will be highlighted with a resolution warning. You will need to go back and either use another photo or if you have used the zoom and crop tools it may be the case that the selected area cannot be printed at the size selected. Try zooming the crop box out until the box turns green.
Getting started with bordered fridge magnets
- Choose your photo
To get started, simply choose the photo you would like to place on the magnet. You can select which photo to use from your album using the thumbnail images on the left side of the page. Use the arrows at the top to scroll up and down your album or simply select a thumbnail.
- Choose your design
Choose the magnet style by clicking on the associated design on the right. When you do this, the page will apply this design to your photo.
- Photo adjustments
Use the control bar buttons to adjust your photo position & to customize the magnet.
- Use the Zoom buttons to zoom your image in or out. If a red warning box appears, then the maximum zoom level has been reached.
- Use the Move buttons to reposition your photo on the card. As you move the card turns slightly transparent so that you can see which parts of your photo will be cropped.
- Use the Rotate buttons to rotate your photo clockwise or anticlockwise in 90 degree increments. Your photo is automatically zoomed out and moved to fit the new rotation.
- Undo Zoom, Move and Rotation. To quickly undo any zooming and positioning of your photo, use the red 'Reset' button located in the middle of the move buttons.
- Use the Orientation buttons to flip between Landscape and Portrait design modes. Landscape mode is better suited to photos with more width than height and portrait is better suited to photos with more height than width.
Switching between the two modes will automatically zoom out and centre your photo.
- Add the magnet to your basket
Once you are happy with your magnet, enter the quantity required and then click 'Add to basket'.
Can I edit my bordered magnet from the basket?
Unfortunately not at this time. When you add your magnet to the cart we take a snapshot of it at that point so you're unable to go back to edit it. If you wish to make changes do the following:
1) Delete the current magnet from your basket
2) Go to the 'Buy Gifts' section and create your new magnet including the changes you require and click 'Add to basket'.
A note on printed colours

What is a Photo CD?
A Photo CD is a safe way of archiving your photos. It is also a good way of storing your images so that you free up your computer's memory.
Why can't I order more than one copy of the Photo CD?
Unfortunately we cannot produce multiple copies of the same Photo CD. You are however able to order more than one copy by adding the Photo CD to your basket and then repeating the procedure.
What happens if I add a Photo CD to the basket and then go back into the site and delete a folder?
Deleting an album that you have added to a Photo CD will remove it from the order. We suggest proceeding with the CD order and then going back to delete the album after you have placed the order and checked out.
What happens if I add a Photo CD to the basket and then go back into the site and upload photos to a new folder?
This will not affect your Photo CD order in the basket. If you decide to add this new album to your CD before proceeding with the order then simply go to your basket and click on the 'Have you added all your albums' link. You will then be taken back to the album selection screen where all your albums including the new one will be displayed. Make sure all the correct albums are selected and press 'Add to basket'.
What happens if I add a Photo CD to the basket and then go back into the site and upload images to a folder already added to the CD?
These images will be added automatically to the Photo CD when you proceed with your order.
What happens if I add a Photo CD to the basket and then go back into the site and delete images from a folder already added to the CD?
These photos will be removed from the Photo CD when you proceed with the order.
